How to apply for our grant program

The Names Family Foundation Board of Directors uses a Letter of Inquiry process. If your letter is accepted, you will be invited to make a full proposal.

Deadlines for LOI submission are: March 1, May 3, and August 2, 2021

1. __________ Click the “grant software login” button below and you’ll be transferred to the grant interface.

2. __________ Once logged in to the grant interface, submit a Letter of Inquiry (LOI). Note that you can save your work and return at any time to complete the (LOI). Once submitted, you will receive a confirmation email.

3. __________ If invited to move forward, you will be notified by email to submit a full grant proposal for review by the board of directors. Proposals will be reviewed by the board and recommended for funding in April, June and September.

Q: When are grants awarded?
A: Applications will be reviewed by the board and recommended for funding in April, June and September. 

Q: Are there any requirements after receiving a grant?
A: Yes. Recipients must complete and sign an agreement and submit a report to the Foundation at the completion of the project; for some recipients, a six month report is also required.

Q: What details should the grant report include?
A: The grant report should describe your use of the funds and explain the success of the project. Please note that failure to comply with these guidelines may disqualify your organization from future requests.

Q: What if our Letter of Inquiry (LOI) is declined?
A: While we wish we could fund every project, we are constrained by limited dollars and many requests. If your LOI is declined, you will be notified by email. You can contact the Grants & Program Manager for more information at info@namesfoundation.org or 253-566-7000 Ext 11
