How to apply for out grant program

To continue the legacy established by Scott and Sis Names, follow the three steps below to begin your grant application. Our Foundation board meets several times a year and makes the majority of grant decisions by November. Our deadline to accept applications is August 31st.

1. __________ Click the “Apply for Grant” button below and you’ll be transferred to the grant interface.

2. __________ At the grant interface, submit a Letter of Inquiry (LOI). Note that you can save your work and return at any time to complete the (LOI). Once submitted, you will receive a confirmation email.

3. __________ If invited to apply, you will be notified by email to submit a full grant proposal for review by the board of directors.

Q: When are grants awarded?
A: We make most grant decisions by November. You may submit an a Letter of Inquiry (LOI) by August 31st.

Q: Are there any requirements after receiving a grant?
A: Yes. Recipients must submit a report to the Foundation every six months and at the completion of the project.

Q: What details should the grant report include?
A: The grant report must describe your use of the funds and an evaluation of the success of the project. Please note that failure to comply with these guidelines may disqualify your organization from future requests.

Q: What if our Letter of Inquiry (LOI) is declined?
A: While we wish we could fund every project, we have only a limited number of grants. If your LOI is declined, you will be notified by email. You can contact the Grants & Program Manager for more information at info@namesfoundation.org or 253-566-7000 Ext 11
