The Names Family Foundation (NFF) Board of Directors would like to announce that Patricia Shults has been named Executive Director of the family foundation devoted to athletics, physical fitness and health in Pierce County.
Shults is an experienced executive director with a variety of leadership skills including founding a non-profit focused on physical activities improving the health of youth. Patricia is dedicated both personally and professionally to bettering the community and has purposefully chosen career opportunities that allow her to invest in mission driven work. A native Washingtonian, she has served on several foundation and community boards that provides her with a unique perspective both as a grantor and grantee. In addition, she married into a well-respected Pacific Northwest sports family of three generations of PGA golf professionals.
“All of us at the Names Family Foundation see an opportunity for Patricia to have a positive and strategic influence in Pierce County and are thrilled to have Patricia lead us through an exciting stage of mission focused growth,” said Kim Hegardt, current NFF president. Shults becomes the foundations first non-family executive director who replaces Erin Shagren, granddaughter of the founders, Scott and Sis Names. Shagren will continue in her role as Board trustee.
“I am thrilled to be the next Executive Director of NFF. I endeavor to mirror the values and integrity that is the heart of NFF, and to continue the work of transforming lives through the generosity that began with Scott and Sis Names,” says Shults.
